Life Lessons Learned From Animal Painting

Little faces haunt this graphic artist as she works in her office at home. While she was at home, much of her time was spent on work she didn’t particularly find enjoyable. Watching her every move are her eight pets, four dogs and four cats. You can get the best pet portrait information by visiting this website.

A new career entered her mind when she saw the faces. On the way to Texas, she took out the pictures of the animals and decided to paint them on canvas. Her portraits are made using colors that reflect the animals’ personalities.

She says that her goal when she paints an animal is to capture their essence. Using the different colors and knowing the animal’s personality can help me recreate it in my painting. The pioneer painting was that of a dog which she and her husband found while in Mississippi. The red dog stuck with them the whole time.

She painted her dog green because he’s jealous of the other animals. She is not the first artist to ever paint animals using nonconventional colors. In 1984, a cajun artist made a portrait of a red eyed blue dog, inspired by her own dog who had died four years ago. Go to this site for further information on pet oil paintings.

The blue colored dog is prominent in her paintings. People see the blue dog paintings as a touch of humor on the part of the author, but the author actually sees it as something that bothers his inner being. The artist intended for each of the paintings to actually have a deep spiritual meaning even if the paintings looked funny. The dog looks at us, making us think of questions that we ourselves have tried for eternity to answer.

The art she makes should show the vital force of the animal. She picks colors that alive and uses not so ordinary patterns to capture their actions. All her animals are rescued, adopted from a shelter or found on the street. Her newest dog, kept leaving a neighbor’s house and wandering to someone else’s house and she finally adopted the dog.

She started promoting her pet portrait paintings by leaving fliers inside local veterianarian offices. She makes it a point to tell her clients not only to give photos of the animal, but a description of its personality. When she knows the animal already personally, then she’ll know what colors to use. According to the owner, the customers are given something more through her portraits.

The energy she exhibits was caught in the bright yellow hue used in the portrait. A subject in a portrait that is familiar to people would attract those people to the painting, said an art gallery owner. Appreciating a portrait is a separate idea from simply looking at the portrait.
